Laptop computer repair job is quite expensive if you are planning to send your broken laptop back to the original manufacturer. Every piece of new laptop sold in the market is covered with a one year manufacturer limited warranty and if anything does happen within the period, you are charged with nothing. But what if your laptop starts to show problems after the warranty ends and you did not buy the extended warranty?

I own a laptop computer and it failed to and that happened few weeks after the warranty period ended. I was shocked when shown the invoice, I was billed for more than half of the original price that I had paid for the laptop computer itself.

Sending back a broken laptop computer to the manufacturer would be the right choice but the cost they charge would always be high; doesn't matter which brand of laptop that you use.

If you have the passion or are interested in doing laptop computer repair jobs, you can most probably try to fix the laptop yourself. Sometimes, the problem with the laptop could be a very small thing that could easily be fixed but unless you know something about it, you would most probably heading to the local laptop computer repair center. Laptop computer is a norm now, every kid carries one nowadays. Gone are the days where desktop computer is the only option.

Doing it yourself or DIY certainly will have its own benefits. Firstly, you can save the cost and secondly, the time. Remember that you have to send it to the service center and collect it later on and this also does not include the waiting time where you might need it back urgently. Some repair centers will do the job based on first come first serve bases. So if you are interested in fixing your own laptop computer, here is something that I would like to share with you.
